- 2–4 medium russet potatoes (scrubbed clean)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Optional Toppings:
- Butter
- Sour cream
- Shredded cheese
- Crumbled bacon
- Chopped green onions
Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Potatoes
- Scrub the potatoes really well under running water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Prick each potato a few times with a fork (this helps steam escape).
- Rub the potatoes with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt and black pepper for extra flavor.
Step 2: Air Fry to Perfection
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a couple of minutes.
- Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, making sure they aren’t touching for even cooking.
- Air fry for 35-40 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
Step 3: Check for Doneness
- Pierce a potato with a fork—if it slides in easily, they’re done!
- If not, air fry for 5 more minutes and check again.
Step 4: Serve & Load Them Up!
- Slice the potatoes open and fluff the insides with a fork.
- Add butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon, or your favorite toppings!
