Description
Do you ever find yourself craving the classic comfort of fish and chips but without the extra grease and calories? Well, let me introduce you to this game-changing Air Fryer Fish and Chips recipe.
Ingredients
For the Fish:
- 4 fillets of white fish (cod, haddock, or tilapia)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Cooking spray
For the Chips:
- 4 medium russet potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400 ℉.
In a shallow bowl, mix together cornstarch, salt and pepper. In a second shallow bowl, place the egg. Then, in a third shallow bowl, arrange chips.
Working one at a time and in order, dip fish pieces in cornstarch mixture, then egg, then chips, shaking off excess between each step.
Arrange in the air fryer basket. Air fry 8 to 10 minutes, turning once, until fish reaches an internal temperature of 145 ℉ and coating is golden brown.
Serve with steak fries, lemon wedges and tartar sauce. Enjoy!
