These Air Fryer Garlicky Smashed Potatoes are everything you love about roasted potatoes, but with an extra crispy crunch and zero oven hassle. Plus, the garlic-infused butter seeps into every crack, making each bite packed with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs baby potatoes (golden or red work best)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Boil the Potatoes

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the baby potatoes and cook until fork-tender (about 15 minutes).
  2. Drain and let them cool for a few minutes.

Step 2: Smash the Potatoes

  1. Place the potatoes on a cutting board or baking sheet. Using a glass or potato masher, gently smash each one until about ½-inch thick.

Step 3: Season & Air Fry

  1. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, melted butter, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the smashed potatoes.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Arrange the potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and golden brown.

Step 4: Serve & Enjoy!

  1. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
  2. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce—ranch, sour cream, or garlic aioli.
