- 1 ½ lbs baby potatoes (golden or red work best)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Boil the Potatoes
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the baby potatoes and cook until fork-tender (about 15 minutes).
- Drain and let them cool for a few minutes.
Step 2: Smash the Potatoes
- Place the potatoes on a cutting board or baking sheet. Using a glass or potato masher, gently smash each one until about ½-inch thick.
Step 3: Season & Air Fry
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, melted butter, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the smashed potatoes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and golden brown.
Step 4: Serve & Enjoy!
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
