Let’s take a nostalgic classic and give it a naturally sweet, wholesome upgrade. You know that first gooey, crispy, marshmallow-y bite of a Rice Krispies treat? Well, imagine that, but with a creamy banana twist and a drizzle of golden honey—the result? Absolute perfection.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed (about ½ cup)
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon cinnamon or a handful of mini chocolate chips

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Pan

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper and lightly grease it with butter or nonstick spray.

Step 2: Make the Honey-Banana Mixture

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and honey together, stirring until smooth.
  2. Add the mashed banana, vanilla extract, and salt, mixing until fully combined. Let it bubble gently for 1 minute, then remove from heat.

Step 3: Combine with Rice Krispies

  1. Pour the warm mixture over the Rice Krispies in a large bowl. Stir gently until everything is evenly coated.

Step 4: Press & Set

  1. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press it down firmly with a spatula (or your hands, lightly greased).
  2. Let the treats cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then slice into squares and enjoy!
