Description

Imagine the perfect bite: crispy, golden toast topped with a layer of gooey melted cheese, plump shrimp bursting with flavor, and just the right hint of herbs and spice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 baguette, sliced into ½-inch thick pieces
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or chives, finely chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Bread:
    • Brush each baguette slice with melted butter on both sides. Grill or toast until golden and crispy. Set aside.
  • Cook the Shrimp:
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Toss in the shrimp, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove from heat.
  • Assemble the Toasts:
    • Preheat your oven’s broiler. Arrange the toasted bread slices on a baking sheet. Top each slice with a shrimp (or two, if small), then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Broil to Perfection:
    • Place the tray under the broiler for 1–2 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Garnish and Serve:
    • Sprinkle with fresh parsley or chives for a burst of color and flavor. Serve hot and enjoy!
