Description

Picture this: all the cheesy, beefy, sloppy goodness of a classic cheeseburger, but in a bowl of creamy, dreamy pasta. That’s right—we’re talking about Cheesy Sloppy Cheeseburger Pasta, the perfect combination of two comfort food favorites.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Pasta:

  • 12 oz elbow macaroni (or any short pasta)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For the Sauce:

  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, but adds depth)

For the Cheese:

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella (for extra cheesiness!)

For Topping (Optional):

  • Pickles, chopped (yes, it tastes like a cheeseburger!)
  • Crumbled bacon
  • Sesame seeds (for that burger bun vibe)

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Brown the Beef

  1. In a large skillet or pot, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  2. Add onions and garlic, cooking until soft. Drain any excess grease.

Step 3: Make the Sloppy Cheeseburger Sauce

  1. Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, milk, and smoked paprika.
  2. Let it simmer for 5 minutes to thicken slightly and develop flavors.

Step 4: Make It Cheesy!

  1. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to coat.
  2. Reduce heat to low and stir in cheddar and mozzarella cheese until fully melted.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!

  1. Spoon into bowls and top with pickles, crumbled bacon, or even a sprinkle of sesame seeds for that full cheeseburger experience!
