- 1 store-bought angel food cake or pound cake, cubed

Instructions
Step 1: Make the Creamy Filling
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Step 2: Assemble the Layers
- In a large trifle dish or glass serving bowl, spread half of the cubed cake pieces as the base.
- Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the cake.
- Spoon half of the cherry pie filling on top.
Step 3: Repeat & Chill
- Repeat the layers: add the remaining cake, then cream cheese mixture, then cherries on top.
