Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling

Egg Rolls

  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for sealing)
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Toppings (Optional)

  • Powdered sugar
  • Chocolate or caramel sauce

Instructions

  • Prepare the Filling:
    • In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
    • Fold in the cherry pie filling gently, leaving some whole cherries for texture.
  • Assemble the Egg Rolls:
    • Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape.
    • Place 2 tbsp of filling near the bottom corner of the wrapper.
    • Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides. Roll tightly, sealing the top corner with beaten egg. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  • Fry to Perfection:
    • Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
    • Fry the egg rolls in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
    • Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Serve and Enjoy:
    • Dust the egg rolls with powdered sugar and serve with a side of chocolate or caramel sauce for dipping.
