- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
Egg Rolls
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 1 large egg, beaten (for sealing)
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
Toppings (Optional)
- Powdered sugar
- Chocolate or caramel sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fold in the cherry pie filling gently, leaving some whole cherries for texture.
- Assemble the Egg Rolls:
- Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape.
- Place 2 tbsp of filling near the bottom corner of the wrapper.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides. Roll tightly, sealing the top corner with beaten egg. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
- Fry to Perfection:
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the egg rolls in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Dust the egg rolls with powdered sugar and serve with a side of chocolate or caramel sauce for dipping.
