Description

If you’ve ever dreamed of turning breakfast into a bite-sized dessert party, Cinnamon Sugar Waffle Bites are about to be your new favorite treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (plus extra for brushing)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Batter

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
  • Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

2. Cook the Waffles

  • Preheat your waffle iron. Lightly grease it with cooking spray or a bit of melted butter.
  • Scoop small portions of batter onto the waffle iron (about 1 tablespoon per section if using a mini waffle iron). Cook until golden and crisp.

3. Make the Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • In a shallow bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.

4. Coat the Waffle Bites

  • Brush the freshly cooked waffle bites with melted butter and immediately toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.

5. Serve and Enjoy

  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces like maple syrup, chocolate, or caramel.
