Ingredients

- 1 shot of espresso (or ½ cup strong brewed coffee)
- 1 cup milk (whole, oat, almond, or your choice)
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup (or cocoa powder + sweetener)
- 1 cup ice
- Whipped cream (optional but highly recommended!)
- Chocolate shavings or extra drizzle (for garnish)
Optional Add-ins:
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract for extra depth.
- A pinch of salt to enhance the chocolate flavor.
- Sweetener of choice if you want it sweeter.
Instructions
1. Brew Your Espresso
- If you have an espresso machine, pull one strong shot of espresso.
- No espresso? No problem! Brew ½ cup of strong coffee instead.
2. Mix with Chocolate
- While the espresso is hot, stir in the chocolate syrup until smooth.
- If using cocoa powder, mix 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder with a little warm water and sweetener to create a syrup-like consistency.
3. Add Ice and Milk
- Fill a tall glass or tumbler with ice.
- Pour in the chocolate espresso mixture, followed by cold milk.
4. Stir and Taste
- Stir well and taste-test for sweetness. Add more chocolate or sweetener if needed.
