Description

This recipe brings you that crunch factor without the extra oil, using a combination of panko breadcrumbs, parmesan, and flavorful seasonings to coat the shrimp.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tail on or off)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Cooking spray
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prepare: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  • Set Up Breading Station: In three separate bowls:
    • Bowl 1: Add flour.
    • Bowl 2: Beat the eggs.
    • Bowl 3: Mix panko, parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Drizzle in olive oil and mix until combined.
  • Coat the Shrimp: Dredge each shrimp in flour, dip into the beaten eggs, then coat with the panko mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the breadcrumbs stick.
  • Bake: Arrange shrimp in a single layer on the baking sheet. Lightly spray with cooking spray to enhance crispiness. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  • Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.
