This Easy Berry Danish with Cream Cheese is everything breakfast dreams are made of. The best part? You only need a handful of ingredients, and it comes together in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
For the Danish:
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup mixed fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, or sliced strawberries)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp milk
Optional Glaze:
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the thawed puff pastry and cut into 4 equal squares.
In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
Spoon about 1 tbsp of filling into the center of each pastry square.
Top each pastry with a handful of fresh berries.
Fold two opposite corners of the pastry over the filling, pressing gently to seal.
Brush the pastry with egg wash (egg + milk whisked together) for that golden shine.
Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over the danishes once they’ve cooled slightly.
