Description

This Fresh Strawberry Dump Cake is one of those magical recipes where you literally just “dump” everything into a baking dish, pop it in the oven, and out comes a golden, bubbly, fruity masterpiece

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon salt (optional, for balance)
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for warmth)

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Strawberries

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, toss the sliced strawberries with sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Spread them out evenly.

Step 2: Add the Cake Mix

  1. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the strawberries—do not stir!
  2. Drizzle the melted butter over the top, making sure to cover as much of the cake mix as possible.

Step 3: Bake Until Golden

  1. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  2. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving—it’s hot!
