The Family’s Favorite Steak Night Dish

In our home, Garlic Butter Brazilian Steak has become the ultimate choice for steak night. My husband, who’s a steak enthusiast, absolutely loves how the garlic butter seeps into the meat, giving it that rich, mouthwatering flavor. Even our picky eater, who usually avoids anything with garlic, can’t resist this steak!

We started making this dish after a visit to a Brazilian steakhouse, where the perfectly cooked meat left us craving more. Back home, I experimented with different techniques until I nailed the recipe that captured that same deliciousness.

Now, it’s our go-to recipe whenever we want to treat ourselves. Whether it’s a weekend dinner or a special occasion, this steak never disappoints, and it’s always the star of the show.

Tips

  • Room Temperature Steaks: Bringing the steaks to room temperature ensures even cooking.
  • Hot Skillet: Make sure your skillet is hot before adding the steaks to get a good sear.
  • Rest the Meat: Let the steaks rest for a few minutes after cooking to allow the juices to redistribute.
  • Garlic Watch: Keep a close eye on the garlic to prevent it from burning and turning bitter.

Substitutions and Variations

  • Herbs: Substitute parsley with fresh thyme, rosemary, or cilantro for a different flavor profile.
  • Butter Variations: Use ghee or clarified butter for a richer flavor or if you prefer a higher smoke point.
  • Meat Options: This recipe works well with other cuts of beef or even pork chops.
  • Spicy Kick: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter for a bit of heat.

Make a Healthier Version

  • Less Butter: Reduce the amount of butter used or substitute with a light butter alternative.
  • Lean Cuts: Use leaner cuts of steak, such as sirloin, to reduce the fat content.
  • Dairy-Free: Replace butter with a dairy-free butter substitute or olive oil.

Description

Hey, steak lovers! Get ready to elevate your dinner game with this mouthwatering Garlic Butter Brazilian Steak. Inspired by the vibrant flavors of Brazil, this dish features tender, juicy steak seared to perfection and bathed in a rich, garlicky butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs skirt steak

Salt & pepper to taste

6 tsp garlic, minced

6 tbsp butter

1/2 cup chopped parsley

Instructions

Cut steak to fit into your skillet. Pat dry and season with salt, and pepper on both sides.

In a large skillet heat oil over medium-high heat until very hot. Add the steak and brown both sides for about 2-3 minutes per side for medium-rare, or cook until desired doneness. Place steaks on a plate and let rest.

In another skillet melt butter over low heat and add in the minced garlic. With a spatula stir garlic around till it starts to brown. Remove it from heat and transfer it to a bowl immediately. Careful not to overcook it will burn fast.

Slice steak against the grain and pour over garlic butter. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
