- 1 tbsp butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
- Fresh parsley or thyme, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Season and Sear the Chicken: Begin by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add the chicken, searing each side until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Create the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits, and add heavy cream and parmesan, stirring to combine.
- Finish Cooking: Add the chicken back to the skillet, lower the heat, and allow it to simmer in the sauce for 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens.
