Description
When the summer sun is blazing, there’s nothing quite like a tall, chilled glass of lemonade to cool you down. But let’s take it up a notch! This Berry Lemonade is a colorful twist on the classic, combining the tangy brightness of lemons with the sweet burst of mixed berries.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 2 cups Lemon Juice freshly squeezed or bottled
- 4 cups Ice
- 1 cup Mixed Berries Fresh or frozen- If frozen, let them thaw slightly and then mash a little before adding them to the lemonade.
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Bring to a low boil, then remove from heat and stir until all sugar has dissolved.
Let the simple syrup come to room temperature, then pour into a pitcher.
Add the lemon juice and berries and mix. (Note: You want your lemonade to be pretty strong so that when you add ice, it isn’t too diluted)
Keep in the fridge until you’re ready to serve and then add the ice. Enjoy!
