Instructions
Step 1: Make the Meatballs
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently—don’t overwork it!
- Roll into 1-inch meatballs and set aside.
Step 2: Brown the Meatballs
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear meatballs in batches until browned on all sides (they don’t need to be fully cooked). Set aside.
Step 3: Make the Gravy
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions and mushrooms until soft.
- Sprinkle flour over the veggies and stir for 1 minute.
- Slowly whisk in beef broth, Worcestershire, mustard, and garlic powder. Let simmer until thickened.
Step 4: Simmer & Serve
- Add meatballs back into the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice with a sprinkle of parsley!
