Description

Juicy, tender beef cooked low and slow in a sweet, savory teriyaki sauce—this dish is perfect for busy days when you want maximum flavor with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs beef chuck or stew meat, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and beef broth.
  • Add Ingredients to the Slow Cooker: Place the beef chunks in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them.
  • Cook Low and Slow: Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 4–5 hours, until the beef is tender and flavorful.
  • Thicken the Sauce: In the last 30 minutes of cooking, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl to create a slurry. Stir it into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
  • Serve and Garnish: Serve over rice or noodles, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
