- ½ cup cornstarch (or flour for a lighter crust)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil, for frying
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional, for extra sweetness)
Garnish:
- Chopped green onions
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Salmon
- Pat the salmon cubes dry with a paper towel.
- In a bowl, mix cornstarch, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss the salmon cubes in the mixture until evenly coated.
Step 2: Fry the Salmon
- Heat a shallow layer of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry the salmon cubes in batches, turning occasionally, until golden and crispy on all sides (about 2–3 minutes per side). Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
Step 3: Make the Bang Bang Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey. Adjust the spice level to your preference.
Step 4: Toss and Serve
- Gently toss the crispy salmon bites in the bang bang sauce until evenly coated.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
