- 1/4 tsp salt
For Decoration:
- Cinnamon sugar (1/4 cup sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon)
- Pink or red icing
- Heart-shaped sprinkles or candies

Instructions
Step 1: Make the Dough
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until the dough comes together.
- Form the dough into a disc, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Step 2: Roll & Cut the Cookies
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the chilled dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.
- Use heart-shaped cookie cutters to cut out your cookies and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 3: Decorate & Bake
- Sprinkle the cookies with cinnamon sugar before baking if you like a little extra sweetness.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 4: Add Final Touches
- Once cooled, decorate with icing, sprinkles, or a simple powdered sugar glaze for an extra festive touch.
