Description
If you love classic chocolate chip cookies but want to make them extra special for Valentine’s Day, this recipe is for you.
Ingredients
For the Cookies:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- ¾ cup Valentine’s M&M’s (or pink and red sprinkles)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. This step is key to getting soft, chewy cookies!
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips and festive M&M’s. If you want extra Valentine’s vibes, sprinkle a few more on top of each cookie before baking!
Scoop the dough into balls (about 2 tablespoons each) and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers still look soft.
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Now, grab a cookie, pour some milk, and enjoy every bite!
