Description

This Grilled Lobster and Shrimp recipe is a celebration of summer, indulgence, and simplicity. With tender lobster tails and succulent shrimp, all brushed with a luscious garlic-herb butter, this dish transforms any meal into a gourmet experience.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Seafood:

  • 4 lobster tails
  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

For the Garlic-Herb Butter:

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Garnish:

  • Lemon wedges
  • Fresh parsley

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Lobster

  1. Using kitchen shears, cut down the middle of the lobster tail shells. Gently pull the meat up and out, resting it on top of the shell.
  2. Brush the lobster meat with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.

Step 2: Prep the Shrimp

  1. Toss the shrimp in olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.

Step 3: Make the Garlic-Herb Butter

  1. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic, parsley, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Set aside.

Step 4: Grill the Seafood

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (375–400°F).
  2. Place the lobster tails shell-side down on the grill. Cook for 5–7 minutes, basting with garlic-herb butter, until the meat is opaque and slightly charred.
  3. Add the shrimp to the grill and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, basting with the butter, until pink and cooked through.

Step 5: Serve

  1. Arrange the lobster and shrimp on a platter. Drizzle with any remaining garlic-herb butter and garnish with lemon wedges and parsley. Serve immediately.
