Ingredients

Scale

For the Base:

  • 2 cans (21 oz each) strawberry pie filling
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Topping:

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) vanilla or white cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Optional: 1/2 cup sliced almonds or crushed graham crackers for added crunch

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Dish

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Create the Cheesecake Layer

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Step 3: Assemble the Dump Cake

  1. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared dish.
  2. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture on top of the strawberries and gently swirl it in with a knife.

Step 4: Add the Cake Mix

  1. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the cream cheese and strawberry layers.
  2. Drizzle the melted butter evenly across the top.

Step 5: Bake to Perfection

  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  2. Let cool slightly before serving.
